Tailgate is one of the oldest and most traditional ways to view polo. We invite you to pack your favorite items (and family and friends) and enjoy world-class polo from the comfort of your own car parked field-side.
Bring along a gourmet spread and enjoy the match in the comfort of your personally decorated space.
All spots are $500 and assigned as purchased. Maximum six individuals per car. Download the flyer for more information on the Tailgate.
This year’s tailgate theme is FAMOUS PAINTINGS. Choose your favorite painting and reproduce it within your tailgating space. Or, take elements of the artwork and create an abstract version of it. Choose something the judges will recognize. Some ideas are Mark Rothko’s Red, Vincent Van Gogh’s The Starry Night, or Grant Wood’s American Gothic. Be creative!
Prizes will be awarded for Best Reproduction, Best Abstract Interpretation of a Painting and The People’s Choice.
The Grand Prize for Best Reproduction of a painting is a “Fine Arts Fantasy Package” which includes:
6 tickets for Riverside Theater’s production of The Body Guard
6 tickets to see Ballet Vero Beach perform in February or April of 2020
6 tickets to a Vero Beach Museum of Art exhibition and tour with a docent
6 tickets to see an opera performance or concert from Vero Beach Opera
6 tickets to a concert performed by the Atlantic Classical Orchestra
6 tickets for a Docent-led exhibition tour at The Gallery at Windsor with lunch at the Windsor Clubhouse
The prize for Best Abstract Interpretation of a Painting is a trail ride on horseback with Max Secunda, Windsor’s Director of Equestrian Operations, for six followed by lunch at the Windsor Village Store.
The prize for The People’s Choice is a tailgate accessory gift basket by Hudson Bay. The colorful and boldly striped items include a beach towel, throw blanket, cooler bag, tote bag, umbrella, thermos, and two ceramic coffee mugs. Also included are six 2020 Windsor Charity Polo Cup caps.
